Introduction
The 706P/R/S/T/J, 708R/S/T/J, 705/6/7/8, and 813L ICs are primarily designed for monitoring power supply and battery voltages. A reset signal is asserted when the supply voltage falls below a specific threshold — 2.63V for the 706P/R and 708R, 2.93V for the 706S and 708S, 3.08V for the 706T and 708T, 4.00V for the 706J and 708J, 4.40V for the 706/708, and 4.65V for the 705/707 and 813L. The 706P/R/S/T/J, 705/706, and 813L devices integrate a watchdog circuit with a 1.6-second reset timeout; the watchdog timer can be disabled by leaving the WDI pin floating. The 708R/S/T/J and 707/708 devices provide both active-high and active-low reset outputs but do not include watchdog functionality. The 706P is functionally equivalent to the 706R except that its reset output is active-high. The 813L is functionally equivalent to the 705, also with an active-high reset output. All devices incorporate a 1.25V comparator for battery low-voltage monitoring and feature a manual reset input. Available in 8-pin DIP, SOP (SOIC), and compact MSOP packages.
