Introduction
LHA787X is a family of multichannel simultaneous-sampling, 24-bit Δ-Σ ADCs with integrated PGA, internal voltage reference, and oscillator. Featuring wide dynamic range, scalable data rates, and an internal fault detection monitor, the LHA787X is well-suited for industrial power monitoring and protection as well as test and measurement applications. The true high-impedance inputs allow the LHA787X to connect directly to resistive voltage divider networks or voltage transformers for line voltage measurement, or to current transformers or Rogowski coils for current measurement. With its high integration and excellent performance, the LHA787X family enables scalable industrial power systems with significantly reduced size, power consumption, and overall cost.
Each channel of the LHA787X features a flexible input multiplexer that connects independently to internally generated signals for test, temperature sensing, and fault detection. Fault detection can be performed within the device using integrated comparators with DAC-controlled threshold levels. The LHA787X operates at data rates up to 128kSPS.
The complete AFE solution is housed in an LQFP-64 package and is rated for an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +105°C.
