Introduction
LM636x5-Q1 is an easy-to-use synchronous DC/DC buck converter designed for demanding automotive applications. The LM636x5-Q1 supports input voltages up to 36V and can drive load currents up to 1.5A or 2.5A. This converter delivers excellent light-load efficiency and output accuracy in a compact solution size. Features such as a RESET flag and precision enable pin provide a flexible, easy-to-use solution for a wide range of applications. Automatic frequency foldback at light load improves efficiency while maintaining tight load regulation. The device integrates many functions to eliminate external components and offers a pin arrangement optimized for simple PCB layout. Protection features include thermal shutdown, input undervoltage lockout, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and hiccup short-circuit protection. The LM636x5-Q1 is available in a 16-pin HTSSOP power package with PowerPAD and a 12-pin WSON power package.
