The TPS22914/15 is a small, low-RON, single-channel load switch with controlled slew rate. The device incorporates an N-channel MOSFET that operates over an input voltage range of 1.05 V to 5.5 V and supports a maximum continuous current of 2A. The switch is controlled by a single enable input, allowing direct connection to low-voltage control signals.
The small footprint and low RON make this device ideal for space-constrained, battery-powered applications. The wide input voltage range makes it a versatile solution for a variety of voltage rails. The device's controlled rise time significantly reduces inrush current caused by large bulk load capacitances, thereby reducing or eliminating power supply droop. By integrating a 143Ω pull-down resistor for quick output discharge (QOD) when the switch is disabled, the TPS22915 further reduces overall solution size.
