Introduction
UCC27323 is a power switch driver featuring matched rise and fall times when charging and discharging the gates of power switches. The UCC27323 offers high latch immunity under any conditions within its rated power and voltage range. Noise spikes of up to 5V (either polarity) on the ground pin will not damage the UCC27323. The UCC27323 can accept reverse currents of up to 500mA forced back into its outputs without damage or logic upset. All terminals are fully protected against ESD up to 2.0 kV. The UCC27323 is available in an SOIC8 package and operates over a temperature range of -40℃ to 125℃. The UCC27323 is an ultra-high-speed, high-current power chip driver with matched rise and fall times when charging and discharging the gates of power switches. The UCC27323 signal input ports (INA, INB) operate in level-triggered mode — the device functions normally whenever the voltage meets the logic requirements. The UCC27323 features two independent signal input ports for receiving control signals from the host controller without mutual interference. These two ports are designed with high reliability; even with 500mA reverse current forced back into the outputs, no damage or logic upset will occur. The signal input ports are also capable of directly handling voltages down to -10V, ensuring safe device operation under significant noise waveform conditions and enhancing overall stability. The UCC27323 signal input ports have pull-up resistors to GND; it is recommended to short unused ports to GND. The UCC27323 output is inverted relative to the input and can be used to drive either P-type or N-type MOSFETs. Each output port can source or sink peak currents of 4A; its high-speed, high-current characteristics make it well-suited for driving MOSFETs in high-frequency applications. The high-speed, high-current characteristics of the UCC27323 are applicable to high-frequency power supplies and similar use cases. A typical application is as follows: the PWM output stage of a host IC often lacks sufficient drive capability to directly drive power-stage MOSFETs, so a high-power driver stage IC is required between the host IC and the MOSFETs to drive the gate voltage, ensuring stable MOSFET operation.
