Introduction
The CD4051B series analog switches are digitally controlled multiplexer/demultiplexer analog switches featuring low on-resistance and very low off-state leakage current. The analog signal amplitude passing through the switches can be as high as 15V_P-P. The CD4051B series analog switches can also operate reliably at supply voltages as low as 4V, with extremely low quiescent power consumption. The CD4051B is a single 8-channel analog switch, using 3 binary input control pins A, B, and C to select any one of eight analog channels to the "ON" state. A logic "1" applied to the INH input disables all channels. The CD4052B is a dual 4-channel analog switch, with each 4-channel section having 2 binary control inputs. These 2 binary signals can turn on any one of the 4 analog channels. A logic "1" applied to the INH input disables all channels of both 4-channel sections. The CD4053B is a triple 2-channel analog switch, equivalent to three single-pole double-throw switches. Three independent digital control inputs A, B, and C select the conduction direction of each switch section individually. A logic "1" applied to the INH input disables all channels of all three 2-channel sections. The CD4051B series analog switches feature on-resistance that is one-third that of competing products, with more than twice the switching speed.
