Introduction
IP5189T is a multi-functional power management SOC integrating a boost converter, lithium battery charge management, and battery level indication, providing a complete power solution for power banks. The high integration and rich feature set of the IP5189T require minimal external components in application, effectively reducing the overall solution size and lowering BOM cost. The IP5189T uses a single inductor to achieve both buck and boost functions, supporting low-cost inductors and capacitors. The IP5189T synchronous boost system delivers 2.1A output current with conversion efficiency up to 92%. Under no-load conditions, it automatically enters sleep mode, reducing quiescent current to below 100uA. The IP5189T adopts switched charging technology, providing 2.1A current with charging efficiency up to 91%. Built-in IC temperature and input voltage intelligently regulate charging current. The IP5189T supports external PIN selection of battery level curves for accurate battery level display. It supports 4, 3, 2, and 1 LED battery level display and lighting functions.
