MLX92362/61 is a monolithic sensor IC sensitive to vertical or lateral magnetic fields. It features two output pins, OUTA and OUTB, connected to an integrated electrically isolated switch. The MLX92362 can be programmed to output a direct or inverted signal from one of two sensitive axes (X(Y) or Z). The signal on the output pins is the result of comparing the applied magnetic field against the preprogrammed magnetic thresholds BOP and BRP for the selected sensitive axis. The MLX92362/61 can be programmed to function as a magnetic latch, unipolar switch, or omnipolar switch. It serves as a general-purpose replacement for reed switches with the reliability advantages of solid-state design. Multiple ICs can be daisy-chained within a single module using the built-in daisy-chain function and synchronized through the same three-wire interface. Customers can benefit from the end-of-line (EoL) programming capability of the MLX92362, or opt for the preprogrammed MLX92361 device.
