Linear Integrated Systems LSK489B SOIC 8L ROHS

The LSK489 is the industry's lowest input capacitance, low-noise monolithic dual N-channel JFET. The low input capacitance significantly reduces intermodulation distortion. In addition, these dual JFETs feature tight offset voltage and low drift characteristics over the temperature range, making them suitable for a wide range of precision instrument and sensor applications. The LSK489 is available in surface-mount plastic SOIC 8L and SOT-23 6L packages, as well as a through-hole metal TO-71 6L package. For an equivalent single N-channel version, refer to the LSK189 datasheet. The LSK489 in TO-71 6L and SOIC 8L is pin, form, and fit compatible with the LSK389. The LSK489 delivers significant performance improvements across a broad range of low-noise applications. The most notable feature of the LSK489 is that it achieves nearly the same low noise level as the LSK389 while offering a much lower gate-to-drain capacitance — 4pF vs. 25pF. In most cases, the slightly higher noise of the LSK489 compared to the LSK389 is not significant, while the much lower capacitance enables designers to use fewer devices and design simpler, more elegant circuits at reduced production cost. Note also that the LSK489 and LSK389 share the same TO-71 and SOIC packages and are pin-compatible, making them interchangeable. Like the LSK389 from Linear Systems, the LSK489 employs a unique design topology that interleaves two JFETs on the same silicon die to provide excellent matching and thermal tracking performance, along with low-noise characteristics with near-zero popcorn noise. The IDSS range is divided into two grades, offering designers better resolution: Grade A (ΔIDSS = 6mA) and Grade B (ΔIDSS = 7mA).
