Introduction
KEMET QGSM thin-film digital pyroelectric infrared sensor modules for gas detection and concentration measurement combine high sensitivity, fast response time, and high dynamic range to ensure rapid and accurate detection of target gases.
The gas sensor module consists of a breakout board with a surface-mount motion sensor installed, making it ideal for easy evaluation and rapid prototyping. These sensors integrate digital current-mode readout functionality, allowing reduced IR emitter duty cycles, which significantly saves system-level power consumption while maintaining a high SNR. Industry-standard I²C communication enables plug-and-play connectivity with microcontrollers and facilitates adjustment and calibration. Programmable gain and filtering capabilities provide maximum flexibility for system design, and a variety of optical filter options are available.
