Introduction
The UCC2720xA series of high-frequency N-channel MOSFET drivers consists of a 120V bootstrap diode and high-side/low-side drivers. The high-side/low-side drivers are equipped with independent inputs to maximize control flexibility. This enables N-channel MOSFET control in half-bridge converters, full-bridge converters, double-switch forward converters, and active clamp forward converters. The low-side and high-side gate drivers are independently controlled, and a 1ns delay matching is achieved between their turn-on and turn-off. The UCC2720xA features an enhanced ESD input structure, and its HS pin can withstand a maximum voltage of -18V, which improves its performance in noisy power supply environments. Since a bootstrap diode is integrated on the chip, there is no need for an external discrete diode. Undervoltage lockout functions are provided for the high-side and low-side drivers. If the drive voltage is lower than the specified threshold, the output is forced low. The UCC27200A is available in two versions. The UCC27200A has a high immunity CMOS input threshold, while the UCC27201A has a threshold compatible with transistor-transistor logic (TTL). Both devices are available in five packages: 8-pin SOIC (D), PowerPad SOIC-8 (DDA), SON-8 (DRM), 9-pin SON-9 (DRC), and 10-pin SON-10 (DPR).
