Introduction
The TC74HC123A is a high-speed CMOS monostable multivibrator fabricated using silicon gate C²MOS technology. It achieves high-speed operation comparable to equivalent LSTTL while maintaining the low power consumption characteristic of CMOS. There are two trigger inputs: the A̅ input (negative edge) and the B input (positive edge). These inputs are effective for slowly rising/falling signals (tr = tf = 1s) as they are Schmitt trigger inputs. The device can also be triggered via the CLR input (positive edge). After triggering, the output remains in the monostable state for a period determined by the external resistor and capacitor (Rx, Cx). A low level at the CLR input will terminate this state. In the monostable state, if a new trigger is applied, it extends the monostable period (retriggerable mode). All inputs are equipped with protection circuits against electrostatic discharge or transient overvoltage.
