Introduction
The ADP2300/ADP2301 are compact, constant-frequency, current-mode, step-down DC-DC regulators with integrated power MOSFETs, operating from a 3.0 V to 20 V input voltage, suitable for a wide range of applications. These devices feature a precision, low-voltage internal reference, making them ideal for generating regulated output voltages as low as 0.8 V with ±2% accuracy, while delivering up to 1.2 A of load current. Two frequency options are available: the ADP2300 operates at 700 kHz and the ADP2301 operates at 1.4 MHz. These options allow users to make appropriate trade-offs between efficiency and overall solution size. Current-mode control provides fast, stable line and load transient response. The ADP2300/ADP2301 feature an integrated soft-start function to prevent inrush current at power-up. Additional important safety features include short-circuit protection, thermal shutdown (TSD), and input undervoltage lockout (UVLO). The ADP2300/ADP2301 incorporate precision enable pin threshold voltages, making it easy to control the power sequencing of these devices relative to other input/output supplies; a resistor divider can also be used to configure the device as a programmable undervoltage lockout input. The ADP2300/ADP2301 are available in a 6-lead TSOT package, rated for a junction temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
