Introduction
The AD823A is a dual, precision, 17 MHz, JFET input op amp fabricated on a complementary bipolar (XFCB) process. It operates from 3 V to 36 V single-supply or ±1.5 V to ±18 V dual-supply rails. It features single-supply capability with an input voltage range that extends below ground in single-supply mode. With IOUT ≤ 100 μA, the output voltage swing extends to within 20 mV of either supply rail, providing excellent output dynamic range. It also offers 40 mA linear output current and 0.5 V rail capability.
DC precision performance includes a maximum offset voltage of 700 μV, offset voltage drift of 1 μV/°C, typical input bias current of 0.3 pA, and source impedances up to 1 GΩ. The AD823A provides 17 MHz −3 dB bandwidth, 30 V/μs slew rate, and low supply current of only 2.6 mA per amplifier. At 20 kHz, it also features low input voltage noise of 14 nV/√Hz and SFDR of −108 dB. The AD823A has low input capacitance (0.6 pF differential and 1.3 pF common-mode), and as a follower can directly drive capacitive loads exceeding 500 pF. This characteristic allows the amplifier to handle a wide range of load conditions.
The combination of AC and DC performance, along with excellent load drive capability, makes this amplifier highly versatile and well suited for applications such as ADC drivers, high-speed active filters, and other low voltage, high dynamic range systems.
The AD823A features an industrial temperature range of −40°C to +85°C and is available in 8-lead SOIC and 8-lead MSOP packages.
