Introduction
The PIC10F200/202/204/206 devices are low-cost, high-performance, 8-bit, fully static, Flash-based CMOS microcontrollers. They employ a RISC architecture with only 33 single-word/single-cycle instructions. All instructions execute in a single cycle (1 µs) except for program branches, which are two-cycle instructions. The 12-bit wide instruction set is highly orthogonal, delivering code compression efficiency up to twice that of other 8-bit microcontrollers of the same class. The easy-to-use and easy-to-remember instruction set significantly reduces development time.
The PIC10F200/202/204/206 products feature special functions designed to reduce system cost and power consumption. An on-chip Power-On Reset (POR) circuit and Device Reset Timer (DRT) eliminate the need for external reset circuitry. The proprietary INTRC internal oscillator mode conserves available I/O resources. Power-saving Sleep mode, Watchdog Timer, and code protection features reduce system cost and power consumption while enhancing reliability.
The PIC10F200/202/204/206 devices incorporate low-cost Flash memory, making them suitable for production runs of any volume. Customers benefit from price leadership and programming flexibility in the Flash-programmable microcontroller space.
Software support for the PIC10F200/202/204/206 products includes a full-featured macro assembler, software simulator, in-circuit debugger, C compiler, low-cost development programmer, and full-featured programmer. All support tools run on IBM PC and compatible systems.
