Introduction
The OPA462 is a high-voltage (180V) and high-current drive (45mA) operational amplifier. This device features unity-gain stability with a 6.5MHz gain-bandwidth product. The OPA462 is protected by internal circuitry against overtemperature conditions and current overload. The device operates fully from a wide supply voltage range of ±6V to ±90V or from a single supply of 12V to 180V. The status flag is an open-drain output, allowing the device to use standard low-voltage logic as a reference. This high-voltage op amp offers excellent accuracy and wide output swing, free from the phase-reversal issues found in comparable op amps. The output can be disabled via the Enable/Disable (E/D) pin. The E/D pin features a common return pin for easy interfacing with low-voltage logic. This disable function operates without disturbing the input signal path, saving power while protecting the load. The OPA462 is housed in a compact exposed metal pad package capable of dissipating heat over the industrial temperature range (−40°C to +85°C).
