Introduction
The CC1200 is a fully integrated single-chip RF transceiver designed for high performance at very low power consumption and low voltage operation in cost-effective wireless systems. All filters are integrated, eliminating the need for expensive external SAW and IF filters. The device is primarily intended for use in the ISM and SRD bands at 164–190 MHz, 410–475 MHz, and 820–950 MHz.
The CC1200 provides extensive hardware support for packet handling, data buffering, burst transmissions, clear channel assessment, link quality indication, and wake-on-radio. The main operating parameters of the CC1200 can be controlled via the SPI interface. In a typical system, the CC1200 will be used together with a microcontroller and only a few external passive components.
The CC1200 and CC1120 are both part of a high-performance transceiver product family. The CC1120 is optimized primarily for narrowband applications, while the CC1200 is optimized for wideband applications, yet also effectively covers narrowband applications down to 12.5 kHz channel spacing.
