Introduction
The TLV62090 device is a high-frequency synchronous buck converter optimized for small solution size and high efficiency, making it ideal for battery-powered applications. To maximize efficiency, the converter operates in pulse-width modulation (PWM) mode at a nominal switching frequency of 1.4MHz and automatically enters a power-save operating mode under light load current conditions. In distributed power and point-of-load regulation applications, the device allows tracking of voltage rails at other voltages and supports output capacitance ranging from 10μF to 150μF or higher. By using DCS-Control topology, the device achieves excellent DC load performance and precise output voltage regulation.
The output voltage startup ramp is controlled by the soft-start pin, and the device can operate from an independent supply or in a tracking configuration. In addition, power sequencing can be implemented by configuring the enable (EN) pin and the power good (PG) pin. In power-save mode, the device has a typical quiescent current of 20μA. Automatic entry into power-save mode is seamlessly maintained with high efficiency across the full load current range.
The device is available in a 3mm×3mm 16-pin very thin quad flat no-lead (VQFN) (RGT) package.
