Introduction
The AD8418 is a high-voltage, high-resolution current sense amplifier. It features an initial gain of 20 V/V with a maximum gain error of ±0.15% over the full temperature range. The buffered output voltage can connect directly to any typical converter. With input common-mode voltage ranging from -2 V to +70 V, the AD8418 delivers excellent input CMR performance; it supports bidirectional current measurement across a shunt resistor, making it suitable for a wide range of automotive and industrial applications, including motor control, battery management, and solenoid control.
The AD8418 delivers excellent performance across the full -40°C to +125°C temperature range. Its zero-drift core provides a typical offset drift of 0.1 μV/°C over the full operating temperature and common-mode voltage range. Fully compliant with automotive application specifications, the AD8418 integrates an EMI filter and patented circuitry to achieve high output accuracy under PWM-type input common-mode voltages. The typical input offset voltage is ±200 μV. The AD8418 is available in 8-lead MSOP and SOIC packages.
