The board is available in two versions: one version has the device soldered directly onto the board, while the other is equipped with a socket, allowing the device to be evaluated and programmed without soldering it to the board. The difference between the two versions lies in the socket and some components mounted on the back of the board. The board includes additional circuitry to provide a load at the device output and current or current feedback, simulating the behavior of common-cathode or common-anode TOSA and ROSA in FOM.
