The TLE4928(C) is a high-precision differential Hall sensor designed for crankshaft and transmission applications. It detects the movement and position of ferromagnetic structures (such as magnetic poles or gear teeth) by measuring the differential magnetic flux density of the magnetic field. The self-calibration mode ensures optimal accuracy — only a few switching cycles after sensor startup are required for self-calibration to complete before entering high-precision operating mode. The TLE4928(C) switches with a fixed hidden hysteresis and incorporates frequent recalibration during operating mode, enabling accurate switching throughout its entire service life (e.g., during bounce events), even under challenging conditions such as vibrations commonly encountered in transmission applications. The sensor combines fast power-up time, high accuracy, and high sensitivity. With its wide temperature range, high ESD robustness, and strong EMC immunity, the TLE4928(C) is perfectly suited to withstand the harsh environmental conditions found in automotive applications. It is available in the proven PG-SSO package, offered in versions with and without two integrated capacitors.
