Beschreibung
The AMIS−30542 is a microstepping stepper motor driver for bipolar stepper motors. The device interfaces with an external microcontroller via I/O pins and an SPI interface. It features an on-chip voltage regulator, reset output, and watchdog reset to supply power to peripherals. The AMIS−30542 contains a current conversion table and advances to the next microstep based on the clock signal on the "NxT" input pin and the state of the "DIR" (direction) register or input pin. The device provides a so-called "speed and load angle" output, which enables the creation of stall detection algorithms and load angle-based control loops for adjusting torque and speed. It employs a proprietary PWM algorithm for reliable current control.
The AMIS−30542 is implemented in I2T100 technology, enabling high-voltage analog circuits and digital functions on the same chip. The device is fully compatible with automotive voltage requirements.
The AMIS−30542 is well suited for general-purpose stepper motor applications in automotive, industrial, medical, and marine environments. With its on-chip voltage regulator, it further reduces the BOM for electromechanical stepper applications.
